Discharge

Hi,

Not sure where to post this thread, so here goes.
I saw my gyno last week at the 4 week mark. Upon inspection she noticed that my cuff was still bleeding ever so slightly. She said that if it is still bleeding when I return at 6 weeks, she will use nitrate to cautorize it closed.

Since returning home, my discharge has turned from brownish to yellowish. Does anyone know if this is normal or is this suggestive of an infection. There are no signs of infection, such as vaginal irritation, pain, just what was oozing red...to brown is now yellowish.

Any insight would be appreciated.
Best regards to eveyone.
Anne

Discharge

Hi there!
The discharge I had did change colour a bit and it did go from brownish to yellowish and eventually quite clear. This happened as I got nearer to being properly healed.
Of course, this is just me and maybe you should check it out but it does sound similar to my experiences.
Best wishes

Discharge

Hi Anne
At my 5 wk check I asked about my yellow discharge and found out it was from the dissolving stitches. It does depend on what color they use, but many of us have the yellow and you are right at that point in your healing when you would be seeing it. For me lasted until about the seventh week. I think if there were infection you would have a nasty odor and you wouldn't feel well.
I hope your bleeding will clear up in the next two weeks.

Yes, I am about the same as you after a posterior repair. The discharge is now much less, yellow and a bit greenish. Coming to the end, I think. I passed some more stitches yesterday too.
