Saw surgeon today

Hi ladies -

I am 6 days post op and have been having a lot of problems with extreme lower pelvic pain prior to and during a BM, as well as dizziness. He said that now that the uterus is gone, everything 'shifts.' I guess the sigmoid colon which was higher now lays across the top of my pubic bone! Also said that the dizziness could be to fluctuations in BP and can last a couple of weeks. Thought this info may come in handy for those of you having similar symptoms. Something to ask your doc about.

You are only 6 days post op, you have to allow yourself to heal. You had major surgery and your insides have been messed with so it will take time to let things settle down. Wishing you an easy recovery.
