Lavh day 12, yellow drainage, ok?

I had bleeding from day 7-9 from hematoma, now I have yellow-ish drainage. Im still taking antibiotics. Is this normal or an infection?

I had lavh on January 9.

I didn't really understand your question, but I can tell you I wasn't on antibiotics at all. I had an open incision in the navel and at some point there was a blackish drainage that didn't smell at all. Right after that, a scab formed on the wound and it healed.

I've read it is normal to get a drainage as part of the healing of an open wound. But, please, I have no idea if it applies to your particular problem.

If you're on antibiotics, at least, if you have an infection, it is being taken care of. Do you have fever? I think fever is a sign of infection.

Call your doctor, because only your doctor will really be able to answer your question.

My heart is with you, because I know how hard it is to worry and have to wait to get answers.

I dont have a fever, I believe the antibiotic was a precaution (i left hospital with it) so I dont think it could be infection

The drainage is normal. I am at 25 days and have anywhere from yellow, brown, or pink discharge. You should not have anymore red discharge, if you do....it should be very little.

Ok, thanks so much! I was worried! Reds all gone just a yellow-brown. Not really the kinda thing to just ask around about !lol

Yellowish discharge is totally normal I had it for almost 12 weeks, it got less and less as the weeks went by after about 12 weeks I no longer need panty liners

I never bled after my surgery but I did have a yelllowish brown discharge that lasted for about 14 weeks.

Thanks so much! I was wondering also how long before I will b done with pantyliners, I am at least excited to not need those anymore. Thanks for giving me an idea
