TAH Bleeding after sex, 3 months after hysterectomy

I just recently had sex for the 2nd time since my surgery at the end of Sept.

There was no pain during sex, however afterwards there was bright red blood. I did not notice this after the first time.

Has anyone else experienced this issue.

The Dr. did an examination of my pelvic cavity on Monday for a different reason, and said there was some redness so I don't know if this is connected or not.

I wiped a little bit of pink after one of our recent trysts, though that'd occasionally happen in past years, too, so I didn't give it much thought. (For me, probably due to my age and likely peri-menopause or in meno.)

You had both ovaries removed. Are you taking HRT? Decreased estrogen can cause vaginal dryness (I had this early post-op) meaning the vaginal walls can be thinner and less elastic - and easily irritated during sex. The fact that your doc noticed the redness but nothing crucial is a good sign. Try a personal lubricant as part of foreplay. Also, I switched to non-perfumed soap for the v-zone, and at the end of my shower I'll use a dab of coconut oil in the region as a daily lubricant. I'm not taking any HRT. I had used lubricant.

I'm currently doing chemotherapy for OvCa

I have a chemo follow up and will mention it to the gynecology oncologist. This was enough blood to soak through my sheet onto my mattress pad, and partially soak a nightime period pad

I have been having some pink /brown discharge for the past few weeks, so maybe it was just irritation.
