Back from the Castle

Ok all I am back from the castle and have just been up to sit and send this email. I did not do as well as possible. The surgery was a breeze but the after effects went bad. I had a bad reaction to the Desmopressin they had to give me to stop my bleeding and my blood pressure went down to 70/30.........they were real concerned because they could not get it elevated. I was not able to come home until yesterday. I am still in a lot of pain and have not been able to have a bowel movement yet. If so not have by tomorrow I am going to have to do an enima. Well that is the short version. I will post in post-op in the next day or 2 my story. Thanks to everyone for there well wishes.

Back from the Castle

Welcome home !!

I'm with you on the bowel thing.

I was considering chewing a stick of gelignite ... but after two mini enemas which didn't work, about 10 stool softeners, countless glasses of water, walks, apples, the third mini enema did the trick yesterday, 10 days post op, so you can imagine how happy I was. Then I had chilli... I'm sitting here at 5 am cos I have diarrhoea!

I'll read your castle story when you post it.
