How long were you in the recovery room right after your hysterectomy surgery before they let you see your family

my surgery was at a surgery center which was beyond awesome. I was in my room with my hubby while they were prepping me, the wheeled me out just before my 11am surgery time. I really don't know how long the surgery was, but woke up in recovery and pretty much as soon as I was awake they rolled me back into my room where my hubby was waiting at about 2:30. He told me what the dr had said and sat with me for a bit until I told him he should go home to the kids about 3:45.

No need to worry. You will not be alone, they will be monitoring you before thay move you to your room. My surgery only took 2.5 hours, but waiting for my room to get ready was the hold up, however, I was unaware of the time because of the meds. There is no way that they are going to forget you and I'm sure that they perform surgery everyday.

About 10 min. The meds they were giving me weren't working and I couldn't help but cry and then immediately apologize for being a wimp. The nurse asked if I wanted my mom I nodded and in she came w ice chips. My hero lol
