hot flushes

Hi All,I'm a new member but this site is my new best friend
Had T.V.H. 5 weeks ago and would appreciate some feed back from you ladies out there.
5 weeks post op and 5years post menopause but since T.V.H have been experiencing the most awful hot flushes,can't understand why as I kept my ovaries Please any help most appreciated.

I also have just started getting these hot flashes. I will right out start sweating (in front of everyone no less) for about 5-10 minutes. Then I start to cool down and feel better. I kept one ovary but am assuming maybe it just isn't working up to par yet. I would ASSUME since your surgery was right around the same time as mine that this might be the case also.

Hi,

You might ask dr for something to help with your hot flashes. It may be just that your hormones are out of balance and need time to operate again from the shock of surgery.

If you click on our Resources library at the top of the page you will find help in the Hormone and No-Hormone sections.

I hope you can find help on cooling your hot flashes.

Will try my doctor,was on H.R.T for 15 yrs but came off it a few years ago because of all the bad publicity and was fine till my hysterectomy.
Don't go for my first check up till 16th June,we normally go at 6weeks in the U.K.but just my luck ,no clinic on the 2nd and surgeon on holiday on 9th so it will be 8 weeks before I go.
Hope I get the all clear,feeling nervous already
