Pain with bladder sling

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced pain with their bladder sling when their bladder gets full? I am 4 months post LSH and been doing really well except for that and the occasional strain when I try to do more than I should!

Hi Celeste,

I had TVH with bladder sling on 10/15, so you are a bit further out then me. I have noticed that when I first get up in AM and go to pee, most times I can't. Maybe a tiny bit will come out, and if I stay put for a few minutes and change positions a few times, but my bladder is definately still full. If I get up and move around for 10 minutes or so, then try, I can empty my bladder then. I had posted a thread about this on the bladder forum, and someone there said it could just be from residual swelling. The last 2 days have been a bit better, but not what I would call perfect yet. The pain I have when the bladder is full goes once I can empty all the way, and I only seem to have this problem 1st thing in the morning. It will be something I talk to my doc about when I go for 6 week check if it is still a concern.

I had a bladder sling done in August of 2006, and I'm still dealing with that. I think it's probably something that sticks around. I've found that if i don't empty my bladder soon enough, I have pain and it becomes very difficult to completely empty my bladder.
