Three weeks post hysterectomy: Anyone else swell up from sitting??

I've been wearing just sweats since I came home from the hospital, which will be three weeks ago, tomorrow. I got up around 6am this morning and was at the computer, pretty much, until around noon. I went to take a shower and decided I would try to wear my regular underwear, today. Been wearing the grandma underwear, and my regular ones are bikinis. Well, I found that they were tight, plus they were hitting my incision, so I put the grandma's back on. But I am just wondering, could I have swelled up that much just from sitting?? I actually lost 6 lbs according to the Dr's scale, last Thursday, so I figure it MUST be swelling. Any thoughts?? Thanks so much!!

Re: Anyone else swell up from sitting??

Yes I still have swelling from sitting. I am almost 4 wks post op TLH and I still only sit up for short periods of time. I notice when I sit longer then an hour I need to rest & ice my belly.

Re: Anyone else swell up from sitting??

Me too. At almost 4 wks and notice swelling when sitting long and also by end of evening. I have lost a uterus and gained a nice roll above my incision....ugh.. This area swells and also prohibits me from wearing my bikini undies as well. I'm hoping it subsides.....before summer at least?!

Well, sounds like we're all in the same boat! And yes, the "roll" above the incision!! What's up with that??? hehe! I hope it all goes away by summer, too!
