How long does it take for the stitches to dissolve?

I'm at 7 weeks post-op (right ovary and adhesions). I'm really comforted by the messages on this post. This was my first week back to work full-time for five straight days. I really expected to be much more full-strength by this point, but am now realizing my swelly-belly and fatigue is very, very normal. Sharing with all my hyster-sisters is so much great support because I can see where others are at the same point of recovery. God bless you all. One day at a time, we're in this together.

I think I was a little sudden

Yes, I think I was a little sudden in my resuming activities. There have been some extenuating circumstances, but that's really not a good excuse. i also have CFIDS and FM, so I think a trip to my specialist in those areas is my next best step. He's lots easier to get in to see than the gyne. The gyne checked my muscles and innards just two weeks ago and said things were 'perfect' so I'm not really worried about that, just frustrated and a bit concerned that I'm not pacing myself well.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. My goal this week is to make myself a reasonable schedule and then stick to it. My husband is starting to travel again (three days next week and three weeks in May) so I need to get firm here.

Thanks again . . .

Hi Arctic!

I chatted with you on Fri for a while! I'm also 10 weeks & am sore around incision & inside. I drove 200 miles last Mon, then 200 back home Thurs. Plus, while visiting family, I was more active. I'm paying for all of that now! My insides are very sore! Plus I'm tired much of the time.

No hormones for me yet because of the endo. I'm going to start taking black cohosh to decrease the hot flashes. I just feel blah much of the time.

We are probably doing way too much! After 2 months, everyone expects us to be "normal" again, but we aren't.

What is CFIDS? Chronic Fatigue? And FM....fibrormyalgia? If you are dealing with these also, then I think you are doing remarkably well!!!

Good luck!
