I had TAH Apr 6, went to dr at 4 months and had granulation. He did the treatment right in his office. Dr. didn't tell me what he was doing, so I asked him what it was. He replied you have some granulation, I then said, "You're doing silver nitrate", he said yes you're well informed. I took that as a compliment towards this site and told him about Hystersisters. Thanks to this site and all the gals here, I was not panicked as susual when I have to go to the dr. He said he was going to check out this site.
Abig thank you to all here, your info and comments helped me make it through.

how common is granulation
"Granulation" (as we use it here) actually seems to mean a problem with granulation tissue. Granulation tissue itself, as I understand it, is the interim stage of tissue that is in the process of healing. So, in that sense, we all have granulation tissue as the vaginal cuff goes from a fresh surgical repair to a healed state.
So, when we say "granulation," it means that there was a problem or delay in that healing process that needed to be helped along with silver nitrate or simply more time in some cases. Otherwise, we just pass through that phase of healing without intervention, some of us taking more or less than the average six weeks.
At least, that's the way it sounds to me. Hope that's close.
