SAH mini period?

I think I just went through a mini period! (2 weeks post-op) I would have been due to start bleeding on the weekend, and it was a very happy and pain-free weekend compared to what it would have been.

Yesterday I had a tiny bit of spotting, like my old warning that my period was coming. Today I had red spotting for a couple of hours, and then brown this evening. I kept my cervix so I was wondering if that would happen, but I didn't expect it this soon. I like thinking that I am already back to normal hormones, and I was kind of hoping that I would have spotting every month so that I would still be able to track my cycles.

I realize of course that it could also be post-op spotting.

As you already suspect, it's way too soon to be thinking about cyclical bleeding at only 2 weeks post-op. Bleeding can be part of the normal healing process and you'll find that most ladies have some bleeding during the early weeks.

I experience cyclical spotting which didn't appear for a couple of months, which I was told to expect since my cervix wasn't cauterised. But, like you say, I am very glad to see an obvious sign that my ovaries are still working!

You'll have a more accurate idea next month. If it happens again, and you don't have any spotting inbetween, then you can be more confident that it is indeed cyclical bleeding.
