LAVH scheduled

I have a LAVH scehduled for March 4. I have had many other surgeries, knee, gall bladder, etc., so I am not concerned with the hospital stuff so much. The posts from the other members have been extremely helpful. My husband keeps asking me about adhesions and fibroses of the vagina. He is a doctor so he has seen the worst case scenarios. He is freaking me out, but this site is helping me. I have had painful cycles and prolonged bleeding since I stopped BCP's after my husband's vasectomy. Due to family heart/vessel disease, it is not prudent for me to be on BCP's at my age (36). I had an ablation with removal of cervical and uterine polyps in August, but the bleeding and heavy periods have continued. I also have an unusual surface to my cervix that makes it prone to bleeding. My problems seem so minor to most other members. I know this is major surgery, but I feel it is a necessary one for me. Thank you for the advice and insight. This is a great site and will recommend it in the furture.

I found Hystersisters while searching for info after I learned of my need for a hysterectomy too.
