when will it stop?!?

Right after my TAH I didn't bleed at all. The doc said I would start and it would last for "a couple of weeks" and it should only be spotting. It did start about 2 days post op. It was a little heavier than what I would have called spotting for the first 2-3 days, but it did slack off to spotting. I've had no one to help me since day 3 home from the hospital so I know I've over done it at times. I'm at week 4 post op and I'm still bleeding. It's just spotting but I wonder if I've broken something. I stop for a few hours every day but it starts back up again. I'm ready for it to end! WILL IT EVER END?!? I guess I'm impatient because I dealt with the bleeding so much before the surgery.

when will it stop?!?

I would call your doctor again. I had a TAH but I had no spotting or bleeding whatsoever after the first couple days. If you are still bleeding I would suspect granulation tissue or some other problem. And taking it easy is something you HAVE to do to heal properly and avoid long lasting complications.

I had my surg same date as you. I was told by the dr that I could spot for the entire 6 weeks. I have to wear a pad everyday although I may not spot everyday. I also find a lot of clear discharge that I was told was from the incision on the inside healing.

If it concerns you, you should call your dr.

Good luck

I spotted like that into week 5 with my doctor's assurance that it was normal. It was heavier any time I increased my activity. Hang in there, the six weeks will be up before you know it and you'll be wanting those days of rest back. Best of luck.
