adeno vrs post-op pain? Does anyone know...

Glad to hear you had no comps and are on your way to recovery....

I too had adeno...I also had endo, a huge fobroid and several little ones, very bad adhesions and a monster chocolate cyst. So I know the pain you have. I had a TAH in June. As someone else mentioned, the second day was the worst, but nothing like the nausating monthly period cramps. As the days went on, the pain just seemed like light cramps...all I needed was Advil. I wasn't taking anything the second week...actually the only time I needed anything was if I was up doing too much, but I knew it right away and got back on my recliner.

I had a really good recovery, feel like a new person. I hope the same for you and all the other ladies in waiting.

I had the same experience during my endometrial biopsy. my doctor apologized profusely for causing me pain. I'm like pain, what pain? It didn't even register on the pain scale!
