Re: 4 months post-op and am so fatigued,swelling ....

I am about 10 weeks post op and within the last week or so have been having issues with INCREDIBLE bloating at the end of the day. I feel as if I have taken a few steps back in this area. I also have cramps at the end of each day and the fatigue is back as well. Is this all part of the healing process?? I also had lower right abdominal pain last week at my lower right incision and now I have felt it on the left for the last two days!! I have been taking Aleve for the pain and it's helped but I will probably call my doc tomorrow and see what he thinks. Is it possible to overdue it this far out?

Re: 4 months post-op and am so fatigued,swelling ....

I try to walk 2 miles at least every other day.
I want to build that up to 2 miles every day.
I am 3 1/2 months post op and I still have "swelly belly" in the afternoons after I have worked all morning standing up teaching my class.

Your body will tell you when you are tired.
If you aren't in great pain, just rest.
If you are in a lot of pain, always be safe rather than sorry and go see your doctor.

Re: 4 months post-op and am so fatigued,swelling ....

Ok 10 months post op and I am not as fatigued but this swelly belly keeps reminding me that I had surgery. Just at the end of the day. I am active and moving but still feel pulling and continue to bloat. My quality of life is certainly much better than before. I am not complaining just sharing what I am still feeling. My Doctor warned me that it takes 12 months for the nerve endings to heal and she was not kidding. Hope all of you are doing better.
