New squish pillows

Have you seen the new "squish" pillows that are filled with tiny plastic beads? They're incredibly soft and I was thinking they might be good as a tummy pillow post-op (maybe keep one in the car too).

They also come in shapes like wraparound neck pillows, bolsters, soccer balls and many more. I've seen them at WalMart and Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $10 each.

I know HysterSisters store sells a tummy pillow too which I'm sure is great.

New squish pillows

I bought the same one for a tummy pillow last week. I practiced with it too! BB&B, $10.00. I will use a thin bed pillow in the car under the seat belt. I'll use the same thin pillow between my ankles and knees when sleeping.
These are all just plans...I'm sure I'll have to adjust.
Best of Luck Joyce!

New squish pillows

I got one that I took to the hospital and still using. The nurses thought it was great. Mine is heart shaped from Wal-mart. Love it!

Hi!!
I was wondering if those pillows would work well for a tummy a tummy pillow. Thanks for asking about them Joyce.

I think I'll have to run out and get one of those.

New squish pillows

Those pillows are wonderful. I got mine at Linens N Things -- $10 each. My ds calls them "mooshy pillows".

They worked well for me on my tummy, but some sisters need more support. Otherwise, they're great "propping" pillows because they really conform to your body when you just need a little more pillow.....

Good luck, all!

Me too!

I bought one at Walmart, too! I've been sitting around hugging it and seems like it will work okay. I just love to sit and knead it - love the way it feels!

My daughter gets it when I'm finished with it so she's the one who chose the specific one. It's round and neon green! At least it won't get lost before surgery time!

New squish pillows

Hi!

I just bought one yesterday (long cylinder-shaped) in bright RED and took it with me to my daughter's symphony orchestra concert - three hours long!

I'm about 5 weeks post-op. It worked great as a tummy pillow.

Now if I can just stay out of the grocery store, I'll be fine!

New squish pillows

I've had my pillow for about two months. I love to squish it.

The only thing is after a few weeks it gets "saggy" and it doesn't offer enough support. At least mine did. I still love to squeeze it though. It's soooooo soft.
