Immune System after surgery

Hi,

I am sorry you have had illnesses since your hysterectomy. I had more problems with, yeast and bacterial infections, hormones, bowel problems, insomnia and joint aches.

I really think major surgery is very traumatic to the body. It may be that you are run down from all that you have been through. Is it possible that you are anemic? Have you had that checked? You mentioned you had transfusions. You could be run down from loss of blood. It may help to take a good multivitamin as well.

It can take up to a year for some of us to feel good again .

I hope you feel better soon.

I don't really have a whole lot of wisdom to add, but I wanted to send you a and hope that another (((sister))) can come along who has experienced this.

It may be that your system is just run down after taking so much energy to heal from surgery. I know that throughout my life I have had some stretches where I don't seem to even get a cold for two or more years, then suddenly I'm down with "everything" for several months.

But if it continues to be a concern, a visit to the doctor may be in order.

Immune and Hormones

Guys, My sah was May 10th, 2005. I have never felt worse. IT seems that I am sicker since. Anyone have shortness of breath, lightheadedness and weakness. Been to the doctor three times. No results. Does this sound like I might need HRT. Tell me something. Anything. Anybody. Feel like I'm losing my mind.

Thank you Greeta56 I am with you! I will be first in line for a flu shot.lol Thank you suzew for telling your story. When i was three months into recovery, i had to see the doctor due to dizzyness, nausa and weakness. My doc told me that it was Anexity, and Put me on Lexapro a antidepressent. I am on HRT for both estergen and Testostrone. sorta a generic RX of estatest. My advice is do research on like webMD and see what you can come up with and most definatly keep telling your doctor that your condition is still the same. And if that doesn't dwork go for a second opinion! I hope that things get better for you and I"m always on here at least once a day so if you need someone to talk to i'm here

Thanks Rhonda

I am unfortunately from New Orleans. Displaced in ATlanta. Would like to have a md who knows my history. But that is not happening now.

Still have ovaries. So I didn't think I'd be having any hormone problems so soon. This is worst than I could have imagined. I don't know how to private message. Thanks for the invitation.
