What Happens to Fallopian Tubes?

Hi, this may sound like a silly question but what happens to your fallopian tubes? I know that I will be keeping mine along with my ovaries. I am scheduled to have a TVH with anterior/posterior repair next week. Do they simply float in abdomen and is there a chance they could get wrapped around intestines (not even sure how long tubes are)?

What Happens to Fallopian Tubes?

Mine were removed with my uterus even though I kept my ovaries. My understanding is that is normal. Are you sure yours are going to stay?

What Happens to Fallopian Tubes?

Hi, I think you need to have the work Salpingo (referring to tubes) in your operating plan for them to be removed and it's not in mine. Also, the doctor and the hospital at my pre-op were both quite detailed in the surgery but never mentioned the tubes, I only thought of it later. I know from reading these posts that there are some very different things done depending on where you live, doctor's preferences, etc. but I was just wandering if anybody here had a TVH and kept there tubes what happened to them. Thanks for answering though.
