dVH/RALH If you are thinking about going back to work early read this first

Great post! I have a desk job and went back to work at 4 weeks 4 days. Big mistake! I was feeling so good at home....but work was a whole different ball game! I tell people, once you start feeling really good....take another week off! I am almost 12 weeks post op and am doing well but still have occasional twinges and soreness especially if I wear pants that are a little to tight.

If there is anything that I learned on this site, it is to take care of yourself. You only have 1 chance to heal right. I am only 2 weeks out, and am not able to drive yet. The discharge papers say 4 weeks (I am going to ask about sooner). I work a desk job also, but I am up and down and running here and there. I notice too that I can't sit at my home computer more than a few minutes here and there. Take care of yourself. Maybe you can get a neighbor to take your kids back and forth. Don't over do it.

Im 4 weeks out today and started back at work and I own/run a cleaning business! I took my time today, my big job they were sick w/ the flu and didn't want to get me sick at this point (thank you). Tomorrow I go full swing and do have help going back with me. So far so good, lets see how it goes the rest of the week!

Thanks..and guess my brain isnt' working..I am only 2 weeks post opt..had my surgery same day as you..I drove once the other day just to the corner store to see how I felt. Overall I am ok..just sore but I know when I sit up for awhile I am so uncomfortable. I will call the dr but just like others state on this site they(dr/people) expect you to be up and doing so much more and that it isn't a big deal.
