Hello 6 Week Sisters,

How are all of you doing now? Can you believe it has been 6 whole weeks now?
Where has the time gone? Have you had your 6 week post-op check-up yet?

My Surgery was on May 24th, 2005 and I am doing wonderful. I still have a small amount of belly tenderness and only if pushed on, but not anything to take a motrin over. Sometimes at night I do take a motrin, but rarely now.

My check-up is next Monday the 11th of July. I cannot wait. I am ready to have clearance to work out again. I will be going back on Weight Watchers to finish what I started last year. I took 6 months off since I hit a Plateau in February. I had lost about 38 pounds before hitting that plateau. The good news is that I have not fluctuated more than 2-4 pounds since Feb. Yeah!!!!

I cannot wait to hear how all my Sisters are doing now!
s to all,
Kristi

Hi, I was six weeks on May 20 TAH/BSO I too am feeling pretty good. If I try to lift to much my tumy reminds me not to. Only problem I am having is the hot flashes. They wake me up at night so I don't get a lot of rest so I am a little grumpy by the end of the day. My Gyn and I agreeded on trying naural herbs instead of HRT so started that last week and the directions say 4-12 weeks for full results so I don't know if it'll work or not ( not any difference yet,but it is only one week). Congrads on the weight maintain.

It's six weeks post-op for me today and I am supposed to return to work this morning. However, I have a yeast infection ( so I think) and my doctor is on vacation. It is so painful that I am going to call the office to see what they can prescribe. I don't think that I can go in to work with this pain

I was 6-weeks post-op yesterday. My next GYN appt. is for July 11th and if that goes well, I am returning to working my 12-hour shifts as a nurse in CCU, on the 12th. Everything is going well except that I tire very easily. I just plain "run out of steam" and then have to recuperate for about a day, then I am good to go again. I have done very little lifting, pulling or pushing. I sure need to mow the lawn, though, but am going to wait until the Dr. says OK. My pain is gone except for mild uncomfortable feelings after I have walked too much. My only complaint is my large appetite. Hopefully after I start exercising again. that will be reduced and maybe I can finally get some weight off. I am 5'11" and 160 lbs, but would like to be 145. I wonder if the appetite, therefor weight gain, has anything to do with the hormone patch that I am using. My overall opinion of having had the surgery is a positive one. I hope that all of my hyster sisters out there are doing well.

I was six weeks post-op on Monday. I started back to work (8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) on Tuesday. I have gotten very tired each day and must rest in the afternoon. I work as a word processor, typing dictation from a machine so is very intense. I try to walk around periodically which also helps.

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.....feeling very little pain, but definate fatigue still. I went back to work Tuesday 1/2 days and by the afternoon I have to hit the couch and don't feel much like doing anything else. On top of that...my mother is diabetic and lives 4 hours away and has been hospitalized this week. I need to go visit her this weekend but I'm just not sure my body is up to the trip! Is that terrible?

I'm six weeks today 7/6. I can't believe its gone by this fast. Feeling very good, but do tire easily. I still have swelly belly and vaginal swelling. I don't think those internal stitches are dissolving the way they are supposed to. I'm spotting just a bit too. My post op check isn't until 7/12...the day after my 13th anniversary (doesn't that figure)...the dr said absolutly no sex due to the swelling and stitches.. So it'll be a quiet anniversary for me Also need to discuss more HRT options. But all in all doing great!! Hope everyone else is too!!
