I'm back

Hi Everyone!

I got back from our 4 night cruise last weekend. Sorry I didn't post sooner but it seems that everything has been hitting us since we got back. (Back to reality) We had a great time! God truly blessed me with more strength than I knew I had. I was swimming, snorkeling, dancing, and walking miles........and all at 8 weeks post-op! I'm sure I overdid it, but I feel pretty good. My energy level is up from what it was. I'll admit the first couple of days back(and sometimes now too) I've been very tired. I have some minor complaints; bladder discomfort, twinges of pain sometimes, and the biggest one; this aggravating pressure in my stomach near my hipbone. Besides that, I feel a lot better than I did before the surgery. DH was so sweet on our trip. He told me he wanted to do this because I had been through so much, and it was making him happy to see me smiling. He's scored a bunch of brownie points, lol. I was good, took my prunes(yech) with me. DH was happy that I felt good the whole time. Anyway, I'm very thankful. He picked the perfect week to go, no storms when we went. I'm just praying now that this hurricane steers away from us! Take care!

I'm back

I'm glad to see others posting about having lots of energy post op. I had tons and a year and a half later it's only increased. My surgery was completely successful and the best thing I ever did for myself.

I'm back

Glad you had a good time on the cruise and are feeling good. I had my surgery on Aug 29th and feel pretty much back to normal now except for that darn swelly belly..but I'm getting used to it I think.

Yeah, I forgot about the swelly belly(Gosh, how could I forget that??) Also, that numbness! Guess that's something I'll have to learn to live with.
