questions about LVH

I had a TVH on 6/9 (4 weeks ago today). I stayed one night at the castle. You still have an incision, it's just in the vagina instead of having a visible on on the abdomen. I have done very well post-op. Saw my doc yesterday and he said that in 2 more weeks I could resume all normal activities. I was able to only take ibuprofen once I came home, and that for only a week. I was very tired and had internal soreness, but don't have anything really bothering me now. I still do get tired by evening (which I'm sure has a fair bit to do with my 7-year-old and 3-year-old as well!). Do make sure not to over-do it post-op. Even though you will have no external incision, you are still healing in the same way on the inside. Best wishes with your surgery!

questions about LVH

My best advise for those sisters who have VH is to remember that you still had major surgery. Follow your dr. orders and rest. I was ready to get back to my normal routine at 2 weeks, and payed for it on weeks 3, 4, and 5. Everyone is different, so listen to your body, enjoy the time off ( well as much as you can with a 3 yr. old). Good luck to you.
