IS this normal?

I had a TVH on 1/4. I woke up with some burning and tingling and some pressure in the vagina area. Is this consider normal? My pain has not increased and I am not running any fever. Thank you.

IS this normal?

I'm trying to remember exactly what I felt when I woke up. I know it hurt. I had more done than you though. It seems like what you're describing is pretty normal. I imagine everyone is a little different because of what we have done and how long our surgeries might have taken. I know I had pressure. I think it's from the swelling. That continued for me on and off for several weeks. It was a good signal to me to get off my feet and rest.
You're so very early in your recovery, try not to worry too much. Rest and listen to your body. You should be able to control your pain by not doing more than your body can tolerate and by taking your pain meds. Be careful about sitting for too long too. You can think you're resting but the pressure on that area isn't always well tolerated. Laying down or using a recliner will often relieve it.
If what you're feeling worries you, never hesitate to call your dr and ask about it. That's what they're there for. I hope everything goes smoothly. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi javajunkie2 -- I had a TVH too, two weeks ago tomorrow, and your discomfort sounds similar. I just felt sore and achy, not so much pain. I took very little pain meds, I tried to stick with Tylenol. You are VERY early in your recovery. I'm just now starting to feel normal, and I can tell when I've been up too much or doing too much. Listen to your body! The worst pain I've had is with gas/bm pain and when I laugh too much, I have to hold my abdomen to minimize the pain. Hang in there -- I'm sure your feelings are normal, but call dr. if you're unsure! Take it easy and rest -- it's hard, I know, but it's worth it to get better quickly. You don't want to go backwards on your recovery! Best wishes to you!
