What's that smell? What's that smell?

What's that smell?

Or more to the point, why has the unpleasant odor reappeared?

I was fine until my most recent visit with my gynecologist (my first visit with him, and not my oncologist, post op). The examination was surprisingly painful. A few days after that, I noticed that familiar scent that goes hand-in-hand with post op healing. BTW, I am SO over it.

Is it possible my doc reopened wounds that have already healed? Or created new ones? I really don't want to call him because you KNOW he's going to want to get me back in the stirrups asap, and I am not really up for the painful poking and prodding.

I guess what I am really asking is...is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm sorry you're concerned about this. I've not experienced it but hope that any others who have will be along soon to share.

If it continues, then I think the only option is to ask your doctor ~ if only to put your mind at rest. Will you let us know what you find out?

Sending all good wishes and I hope it settles very soon.
