7 months out and new granulation tissue??

I had to be treated for granulation tissue at my 6wk checkup and then a couple months later had to be treated again for the same spot. 4 months after this, I show signs of possible granulation tissue again. I went to the doctor just two days ago and I was totally surprised that it was a new spot that wasn't there 4 months ago and this time it had to be removed and is being biopsied. He said he would be very surprised if it was not just granulation tissue. He also said that it had a stalk and resembled a polyp. Just feeling really scared and wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience. I am just ready to close the hysterectomy chapter of my life as I have had to think about this for 8 months now.

Re: 7 months out and new granulation tissue??

There have actually been ladies who have dealt with granulation issues even a few years post op. Sometimes the body just takes awhile to completely heal, and the vagina is a warm, moist area which can complicate things a bit.

If you are using a compute to post, there should be links to other threads discussing granulation at the bottom of your screen. You can read through some of those to help you not feel so alone.

Try not to worry or stress!
