You sat that long waiting just for your blood pressure to be checked that is crazy and the dr doesn't even have to do that. My dr has put a sign on the wall in his office for the drug reps restricting their visits because it takes away from his patients time. If you like your dr on your next visit bring it to his attention. Good luck I know its frustrating.

That is still nuts. A well run office should not be like that.

You sat way longer than I would have; there is no doubt about that. I would be looking for a new doctor.

Some ol' boy in my town made headlines when this same thing happened to him and he sued the doctor in Small Claims court for his "lost wages". People started writing the local paper about being treated the same way at that certain doctor's office and he made some public "safe face" reports about a new covenant of treatment for his patients.
I thought it was all quite odd and very funny.

I wonder if the doctor knows that his staff did not offer you the option to reschedule early on in your wait? I had that happen to me once and the dr said that she didn't know that I was waiting. I didn't wait as long as you did but it was quite a drive so I didn't want to have to go back another day.
I suggest that you call and demand a phone appointment -- a specific time when you can expect his call so that you are not just stuck waiting -- that you are not charged for, as they already took your BP so he has that information. Now it is a matter of him (and you) deciding if anything needs to be done treatment wise.
I am sorry you had that experience and hope that you let the dr know that it is not acceptable.
Hugs and good luck,
Kathy
