have been told I have anemia

Was wondering if anyone has had the problem with anemia after surgery?? My surgery was over 2 months ago and my doctor said the iron should have been replaced by now esp. after taking iron supplements. Now I have to have a couple test to see if I have internal bleeding from somewhere. If anyone has experienced this please let me know.

I'm sorry this is still a problem. I had anemia but it cleared up for me. I had a list and worked hard to eat foods that were rich in iron. I also did some cooking in my cast iron skillet, which is another way to beef up your food with iron. Make sure you're drinking lots of water too. My big recommendation is the Slow Fe time released iron tablets. They are a high dose and gentle to the stomach.

I hope your dr can get this sorted out for you soon. Hopefully someone who experienced this after surgery will be along to share their experience too. Take care and keep us posted on your progress.
