Any problems with surgical tape tears?
I had my TAH on 1/19 and one week later I noticed fresh blood coming from my incision. I went to the doctor and the NP (who is a complete idiot) told me I had an allergic reaction to the tape resulting in bleading blister and skin tears. Ladies, when I got home from the doc, I found that she had placed new tape right on top of the blisters so I'm being really cautious because those wounds hurt. Anyone experience anything like that.

Re: Any problems with surgical tape tears?
I've never heard it called that. I have bad reactions to tape and they can't put anything on me but the paper tape. I don't think I've had a blister from it but it makes my skin very red and raw. I ended up having to doctor my reaction to the tape after my bandages finally came off. It was inflamed and very itchy. Any time you go in for any kind of surgery or anything after this you need to tell them when you check-in that you are tape sensitive or allergic to it. That's what I have to do.
I hope you are able to get over the soreness soon.

Re: Any problems with surgical tape tears?
I had the bleeding blisters from when the tape was removed. I opted not to have my incision covered with a bandage after that was discovered.
