TAH 6 week post-op hysterectomy checkup

Yesterday I had my 2nd post op visit everything went well with my pelvic exam. I can go back to work in 2 weeks. Next appt in 4 months. My only complaints are gas pain and bloating which pulls on either side of my incision. Also constipation. I was told I should see improvement in about 12 weeks. Oh yeah I was nervous about sex as I'm sure many are so I had questions about this vaginal cuff. Hubby and I were given the ok.

I am glad that your post-op went well. As to your constipation, there are a number of things that you can do to help that. Making sure that your diet has about 25 grams of fiber and drinking 8 glasses of water a day will help. You can use things like chia seeds, benefiber, dried pears, psyllium seed husks and beans as a start to upping your fiber. And you could try Miralax or prune juice in the meantime to get things started and then you maintain with the fiber. I hope this helps.
