did you change your perfume after surgery?

Hi everyone,

This may sound trivial, but I've used all my regular perfume, and I've heard that with changes in hormones that your favorite scent might not smell the same on you.

Anyone have any problems with that?

Should I wait a little longer until things settle down? I'm not on any HRT as of yet.

I feel like a new woman, so I'd like a fresh scent for the new me.

Re: did you change your perfume after surgery?

I am 5 weeks post op and the scents I used to love don't thrill me anymore. I am still not sure if I am a little crazy or if my "changes" are involved. I would hold off on tossing your favorites scents....I am.

Re: did you change your perfume after surgery?

Your hormones DO effect how perfumes smell on you. So does body temp, wich can change with hormones. I would say wait until everything is settled and treat yourself to a new smell! Most beauty counters will give you free samples, if you ask. That way you can try them out for a few days to find your new fave.

Re: did you change your perfume after surgery?

Hi, I am anemic, and craved ice constantly. I have almost stopped craving it since my surgery. My Dr didnt seem concerned about it except for saying it would get better after the surgery. I recieved blood during surgery and feeling stronger today. My DH said I have rosy cheeks again.
