TAH 4 days post hysterectomy: Hot Flashes?

Nightly I've been getting what seems to be hot flashes. I had a TAH but only one ovary and tube removed --- I still have both on my right side. Would I possibly still be having hot flashes? It's driving me insane! I get them during the day too, possibly...but it could just be the heat outside and terrible A/C. Not sure.

Hello, Frequently after surgery theres a reduced function w the ovaries as the blood supply has been severed. It takes time to restore function..This results in reduced estrogen. So with this menopause symptoms may appear...

A few days after surgery I had hot flashes a few times. I would eake uo in a sweat. A few times I also had nightmares, & various symptoms come & go...Headaches, brain fog, joint aches & fatigue. I eat soy 2xs a day & foods containing omega fatty acids- avocados, olive oil, salmon, flax oil, flax seeds, sardines..

Keep your room cool & dress in light breathable fabrics. Feel better!
