5 "weekers" I am wondering...

You are lucky they let you come in to do that.
Our county will not let us do ANY work at all at school. I can't even direct where/how I need things put up. I know I could do it if someone could just lift stuff, and I could leave when I get tired...not even asking to get paid...NOOOOoooooOOoOoO........ the sub tried hard, but the room is already in rough shape.....
Very frustrating is going to make next years start up MUCH more difficult!!

5 weeks and 3 days!

Hi sisters! It is hard to believe we are here I am glad for us, though, to have come this far and it sounds like we are healing and moving on and I am so happy for us!

I feel better each day but do notice at the end of the week, by Thursday that I am totally exhausted and my legs ache throughout the week. Other than those two things, I am doing well. I have tried to be smart when it comes to work, house work, groceries, etc. by easing into a little more each week. I am walking during lunch every day and I think that is helping to build up my stamina. I have lost 7 lbs. since surgery, but that is because I have been trying to since I have not started back at the gym

I would love to know if any of you have had any persistent tiredness and leg pains, as I am getting worried that something may be wrong!! Thank you for starting this thread!! Hugs to you all and prayers continuing for our healing!!

5 "weekers" I am wondering...

Hey poohtie... I am pooped some days. Like yesterday. Not really even sure why, just am. Dr. said it just takes time....
My stamina is better too, just impatient to be even better.
Had hoped to do rock wall climbing and bungee on my cruis next week, but that feels like a no go ..
Oh well, guess I'll just relax~ could be worse, could be inn pain or on my period so the downside isn't so down after all!
It is amazing how far we have come in these 5 1/2 short weeks!
Glad to be here too!

5 "weekers" I am wondering...

Hey!
My dr. said the last thing to return would be the stamina. I'm teaching a summer class first term at the local university and started it at 3 weeks post op. The class is two hours long and I definitely need to stretch out for a bit when I get home from class. I have had a few leg twinges, but no on going pains. I seem to have more lower abdominal tenderness the last few days than before -- guess my stitches are dissolving. I think pushing to do a bit more each day without overdoing it is the key. I'm also trying to do some walking every day even if it is just around a store (retail therapy is good!). I seriously miss going to the gym (Curves) and am trying not to regain what I had lost immediately after surgery (12 lbs.) Hang in there!

It is Saturday and I will not be able to call my Dr until Monday. How long does it take for peeing to become a relief again. I am so worried. And I don't want to talk to some emergengy Dr on call, since this is not a new issue. I would really love to hear any feedback.
Hi Raelynn3, I have the same issue. My dr's office called on Thurs to reschedule my 6 week appt until 8 weeks! Whew I was ticked but I did relay the mesage about the bladder pain (usually only hurts if I have not emptied in 4 or more hours) and they said that if the dr. thought it was urgent that she would call back. She was outta the office. Well it is sunday and no call so I don't think it is urgent for me. Maybe just bladder spasms??? I did have a bladder infection right after surgery and this does not feel like it. The infection was more of an urgency to go not pain. If you are concerned, I would suggest calling the dr on Monday. It can't hurt.
