Hernia, 6 months post-op

[font=Comic Sans MS][color=DarkGreen]Hello, my beautiful Sister's.
Well, I saw a general surgeon today, and it seems, I do have a hernia in my right groin. I had one repaired about 6 years ago, and I was worried it would return after my Hysterectomy because of the placement of incision. And it did in fact return.

Now, I am not sure what to do. The Doc gave me a couple of choices, but I don't know. This is the first time I've ever seen this Doc, and he was recommended by my GYN. I like and trust my GYN, I didn't get a good feeling from this G.P. He thinks a laproscopic look around is the best course of action, all though he also mentioned an ultrasound and a CAT scan. But he says those tests are unreliable for my current problem, and surgery is he choice/opinion.

I am not real crazy about going under the knife again. This would be the 4th surgery I would have to enter through the bellybutton (gallbladder removal, tubal ligation, and a lap last November). I am starting to think my bellybutton is just going to split open one day. Paranoia, maybe, but I still fear it non-the-less.

So, any advice Ladies? I am not sure what to do. My S.O. isn't kean on the surgery idea, but as he says, "I don't live in your body". So he's no help. LOL

Seriously tho, I am tired of being in pain, I have felt great since my Hysterectomy, no more "female" problems, but I've been dealing with the hernia issue since about 4 weeks post-op, I am now 6 months post-op, and frustrated, tired, and a little peaved.

Ladies,

How about a CT scan? I mention because my husband just had one yesterday and it found an infection in his arm...it could surely find a hernia. Might be something to ask about
