aching tailbone and crampy feeling

This just started today....I am just past eight weeks post op. I haven't injured my tailbone, but it aches constantly today and it hurts to sit, plus I feel like I have cramps like I used to with my periods, but I have no uterus anymore so how can I have cramps? I guess I will just chalk it up to wacky hormones...anyone else experienced this?

aching tailbone and crampy feeling

Hey Siamouno; Sorry to hear you are experiencing some pain; Yes just the past couple days I have been crampy too and I have no uterus, ovaries, tubes or cervix anymore. It seems to be more on the right side, but some on the left, goes down my leg some like it did with menstrual cramps, and lower back ache too. I am 7 weeks post op and according to doc and how I have been feeling physically, everything healed or is healing, up fine. what the heck??

(((Siamouno)))
I know with ovaries remaing many women experience discomfort when it's time for their cycle. It might be interesting to mark this on the calendar and see if you see any regularity to the cramping and all. I'm really not certain what could be causing your tailbone to hurt.

At 8 wks a lot of women are trying to get back to normal and find they can't do everything yet. Depending on what you've been doing your body could be telling you-enough, you need to rest now. Maybe try resting a bit more the next few days to see if it will go away on it's own.
I hope you feel better soon.
's, Rita

Have you been sitting in an unusual position since your surgery? Perhaps one placing more pressure on your tailbone than normal? I had a cyst removed from my tailbone a number of years ago, and BOY! Let me tell you - that was not comfortable at all!

Watch how you sit the next few days - that may be the cause.

Take care!
