Is it possible to have complications 3 months after hysterectomy?

I have been hit hard with fatigue the past few weeks. Its to the point where I can barely make it a day without a nap and I didn't even need naps after the surgery. I started taking iron and B12 hoping it would help. This weekend I vomited and noticed my stool has turned black. The stool could be from iron supplements but is also a sign of intestinal bleeding. I needed a blood transfusion before the surgery because I was so anemic and I thought the anemia would go away but feels like I still have it. It seems so unlikely that I would have a complication this far out so was wondering if it was possible. Thoughts?

I would give your doctor a call, especially if your stool is black. Better to ask and get checked than not in this situation. Hugs, and I hope you get some answers and feel better soon.

Re: Is it possible to have complications 3 months later?

I was hit with fatigue when I went back to work. Being more active just tired me out. At 5 months, I wasn't as tired as my body was getting used to extra activity. However, I still find it hard to get out of bed in the morning.... I am thinking menopause is causing this.
It is good that you are getting checked out for your issue. Hope it all works out for the good.

I am also suffering with being fatigued 3 months after surgery and a little bleeding. I also am very sore lately since I had a TAH. I plan to see my doctor in two weeks to explain these symptons. This is nothing compared to what I was going through prior to surgery! Wishing you the best at your appointment also.
