Tummy Tuck Question

Ok I just read about the possibility of a tummy tuck. Couple questions. Has anyone done this? Your experience? I have a pronounced “overhang” that I would love fixed. Is it covered? It’s prone to bad skin problems. Do I just ask my surgeon? Thank you

Re: Tummy Tuck Question

Dear Sweetgem,

Yes, it's possible.
I had this done 6 months ago.
I was scheduled for a TAH, rectocele repair, bladder/urethra lift, cystocele repair and a sacrocolpopexy.
Scheduling a tummy tuck at the same time made this all easier for me.

My uro-gynocololgist "opened up" and did all of the surgeries in 3.5 hours.
The plastic surgeon then stepped in and did the tummy tuck and "closed up".
Total surgery time was 5.5 hours.

I am not going to kid you and tell you that recovering from a hysterectomy plus separate pelvic surgeries PLUS a tummy tuck was a cake walk, It wasn't.It was hard.
And the TT was not covered by insurance.

But I love the results.

Let me know what you decided to do and whether you have any other questions?

xoxo
