Migraines severe told no hrt -HELP!

Trialled estraderm mx 100 for past 3 months. Had a severe migraine with tingling/ numb, confusion, speech, visual and doc has taken me straight of patches and I am 'cold turkeying'. Could lower back ache be a result of the patches? I have had severe back ache for about 3 months too.
If oestrogen is unsuitable and I have no ovaries, I'm 42 - any advice on what to do? He has given me vagifem to try.
Looked at menopace plus and estroven.
I am a bit depressed too, but he didn't want to prescribe anything at this time due to the risk of stroke.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Migraines severe told no hrt -HELP!

I wish I could help. I had my ovaries out 3 weeks ago, and the headaches were so severe I couldn't move my head. The patch for me helped though. But, I can't sleep, remember anything, am very foggy headed and depressed. This just sucks, doesn't it?

Re: Migraines severe told no hrt -HELP!

LLB,

Thanks for replying. I was feeling like Billy no mates!
Yes, it's rubbish and at the prime of life... busy job, busy home ...gotta keep going. All you really want to do is wrap yourself in cotton wool and hide till it's safe to come out again. The trouble is ...it's attached!
I am trying this device called Ladycare and apart from the odd hot flash, and feeling warm, instead of cold, I'm ok. I am also trying Estroven. So far no headaches, but I feel so tired out! I think my body must be finding it all stressful!
I have woken in the night for the last two nights, like wide awake, as if someone switched the light on and it's time to get up. I guess my hormones are all over the place.
I hope you are feeling better - big hugs.
