3 week check up

I had my full abdominal hysterectomy on the 15th. I go on the 5th for a check up. I'm very nervous, 3 weeks seems a bit soon to me. Is this normally when you get your first exam?

I had my first today at 17 days and thought it was too long. Lol.. My next check is 3 months. Again too long to me.. All the Dr did today was take off my tapes and asked how I was doing.. told me I didn't have cancer. Said don't do anything for 6 more weeks and see ya in 3months.. I was scared too.. It went so fast today that it left my head spinning a bit.. I had way more anxiety than what was needed.. Thankful for all my angels here that pep talked me up until I went out the door.. you'll do great. I'd doubt you'll actually get an internal exam.. (or were you told you would?)

The Dr said he would check to see how I was healing internally. YIKES is all that I could think. I'm just hoping he is very gentle. Thanks for the pep talk it was needed

I had my TAH BSO on July 15 as well. I go for checkup August 7 . I did have an internal 5 days post op to help rule out abcess. I was very nervous but dr was very gentle and it was fine! Good luck

I went at 2 weeks. It was super quick took of steri strips just looked at cuts. Going back at 4 weeks.

No need to worry. I had my first one at three weeks post op and it was totally fine. My doc was very gentle, I'm sure yours will be too. I understand though as I was also quite nervous for my apt, but it was quite uneventful.
