Infected Vaginal Cuff Hematoma

I am 11 days post op now from a TAH. Yesterday i had my 2 week check up and my DR was concerned about some pain symptoms i've been having as well as my temperature. I was sent to have a CT scan done and unfortunaltely during the scan it was discovered that i am allergic to contrast dye. I was rushed to the emergency room in an ambulance because i broke out in hives and swelled everywhere including my throat until i couldn't breath. The ER took care of that problem and i learned that thankfully the radiologist had been able to get a good pic before my reaction. Unfortunately the pic showed that i have a large infection. My doctor is treating it aggresively with 2 types of antibiotics, but she's concerned and we're keeping a close eye on it hoping the infection responds to the meds... otherwise i have to be readmitted to the hospital. Has anyone else had this infection? did yours respond to the antibiotics? Thank you by the way for this website... it has been a wealth of information for me and i'm so glad i found it.
