Private Room

I have been reading the Post Op Stories and became fearful of being in a Semi Private room with a "noisey" roommate. I decided to call the hospital to find out the price difference between a private and a semi private room. I was very surprised to find out that the hospital my doctor uses does not have ANY semi private rooms! Wahoo! Private room without extra expense! That information made my day! Loree

Private Room

I was lucky enough to get a private rooms both time I was in (had infection afterwards), and I think they make all the difference in the world. They also kept the doors shut, so you couldn't hear the hubbub out in the hallways.

Hi Loree,

I was in a private room but if my DH didn't tell me I honestly wouldn't of known as I was so out of it. Went home the next day and was still out of it. I never checked out the room or even went to the window to look out. I don't even recall walking in the hallway. DH said I wanted to come home so bad that had to stop me from walking too much. Glad you will get your private room. Love, ((((STITCHER))))

Private Room

I had a private room too and it was the best. My surgery was on a Friday and the Saturday the nurse got me out of bed and sat me in a chair by the window while she changed the bed. I was on the 5th floor (good view) and down below me was a big park where all these people go on Saturdays with their dogs to run and play. It was great to sit there and watch from above all these dogs racing around and having a great time!!

It was also nice to be able to go to the bathroom whenever I needed to and not have to worry about someone else being in there or whatever.

Enjoy yours!!
Shelley
