very scared

hello sisters just tgot done with my preop appt now i know what floor im going to be on tuesday 24 is getting here waay to fast the nurse said ill be out the next day very uncomfortable im so scared it takes up all my time i have no idea what to expect lavh any advice for me

I am sorry you are so scared. I was scared as well and thought of it all the time. I did try to stay busy shopping for night gowns, robe and things I would need at home for recovery. I went and bought books, magazines, thank you cards, food for the pantry, etc.

Most ladies who have surgery do very well and it helps that you rest during your recovery and not overdo. You will probably have some pain at first, but the dr will give you meds if you are hurting. I had a little bleeding after for a week or two and wore a mini pad till all the discharge was over with.

I know exactly how you feel just posted one called scared to. I'm having tah on the 25/2/04 and had my pre admission appoint on Tuesday. After that I was really nervous. Really scared about recovery room. I'm sure we will be fine, stay positive and just think about how life changing this will be for us

I am having a PAH on Monday Feb 23rd... feeling exactly like you are... very nervous about waking up and not knowing what to expect. Most of the girls on this web site say the drugs help and the first day you are mainly out of it....

I would like to get moving as soon as I can so as to leave the hospital.. have never stayed overnight. The thought of the incision is making me scared.
