Extended Diflucan for yeast

Ladies - I will also recommend to look at what you are eating. Bread and pretzels are 2 easy ones. Read the labels of alot of package foods, even frozen. Yeast in various forms is used as a preservative. I know this has caused me many months of grief in the past. Grocery shopping is sometimes a library trip with me but bless DH, he has learned to read also. Mushrooms are NO NO, too as they are a fungus and the body does need any more fungus in it.
Sugar also feeds the Yeast, so try to cut out any extra sugar if you can to help with problem. Stress for me is trigger for a yeast flare up.
There is also one thing a doc can do, especially if he/she is an older doc - there is a "purple solution" that can be painted on the inside and outside of the area(if healed well enough) called ginsen violet(sp?) It can stain under clothing but well worth it sometimes to help with the healing. As a reference, years ago, before Diflucan, I was "painted" twice a week for 6 weeks then once a week for several more weeks to get the "allergy" under control.
Becareful and watchful not to wipe out too much yeast as then the natural bacteria will try to gain control. There is supposed to be this "perfect?" harmony in ther. And the worst I've ever felt was when the Yeast and Bacteria were battling and I took Diflucan and had to insert cream for the bacteria? No wonder women are so much tougher than men, we get poked and jabbed in the most intimate spots and nobody knows. Men get hit - they fall down! Everyone konows what they suffered from. They have an itch they scratch it, in public. We girls just get to walk funny!
Hope the above informatin before the vent is helpful to those that suffering. I have been there and still looking for that magic cure for the future.
