Surgery Tomorrow
Well sisters surgery is tomorrow. I have just started my "cleansing". I am getting REALLY nervous and scared.
The hospitial will call this afternoon to let me know what time my surgery is.
I think I have gotten everything taken care of. Have stocked up on different soups, jello, juices and puddings. Have gotten packed for the castle. Now it's just a waiting game. Not looking forward to the Dulcolax to kick in. I'm sure it's not going to be pleasant.
Please keep me in your prayers as I will pray for all of you.
Will write more when I get home.

Good luck to you tomorrow! I have my LSH 11/10 & I have to do a liquid diet and bowel prep the day before. Not looking forward to it, but know you're not alone!

Surgery Tomorrow
Everything will be just fine. It's normal to worry. I was very worried. But from the time I went into the Castle and they started my IV. Never felt a thing. I woke up fine watched t.v. ate the liquid diet (no comment) and was released within 48 hours of being admitted. Being home has been also fine. Your tummy may be a bit sore, and maybe not everyone has a little pain here and there. They will send you home with pain meds. I would suggest that when you get home, rest, drink fluids, rest, take little walks (around the house) but dont do any kind of house cleaning. Remember, this is your time to recovery. Forget the housework and take care of yourself. The more rest you get the better recovery you will have. you will be fine. you really will. It wouldn't be a bad idea to get some prune juice to have when you get home. I did the soups, and jello for the first three days then went to my regular diet. Eat alot of salad's and fiber. I'm 11 days post op and hang around the house. It's killing me not to clean and do the things that I like done my way, but you get to recovery once. why not do it right the first time. take it easy and relax. good luck.
