Swelling Above the Pubic Bone

Oh you poor thing! Staph is such a sneaky infection, one minute you think your okay, then BAM. We ALL have to watch out for that, and make sure while you're in the hospital, they practice proper hygeine...insist those caring for you wear gloves or wash their hands before they touch you ANY WHERE. I won't go into all of it now, but I was very VERY upset at what I saw at my hospital and I was probably considered a "difficult" patient...one thing is that my room mate was diagnosed on her second day with a staph infection in an OPEN wound on her hand...she was ambulatory and touched every thing in the room, including MY bedrails. I made housekeeping come in and wipe things down 3 times in one day. There were other issues, but so far 3 weeks out I seem okay.

alpineflower, I will keep you in my thoughts...please let us know how this turns out! Just a little set-back, you'll be just fine...you have an awesome attitude and a positive outlook, that's half the battle right there!
