Spotting after sex 4 1/2 months post op

I have had a slow recovery. It was expected since my fibroid was 14lbs.

On Sat., I hosted my daughters bridal shower at my home. Although it was catered there was still much to do. I am pretty sure I over did it. Sunday I woke up with a migraine and was throwing up all day. Yesterday I felt fine. Had sex last night and it was a little uncomfortable. Probably not enough lube. I went to the bathroom after and noticed a piece of skin about the size of my thumbnail in the toilet. Very pale pink on the toilet tissue when I wiped. Woke up this morning to a spot of blood on my panties. Slightly pinker when I wiped this morning. I am back to next to nothing. No pain.

Any ideas?

It probably would be best if you got checked out by your doctor to make sure everything is okay internally. The piece of tissue might have been a scab or something but best to ask the doctor.

Thanks Danni, I'm so down emotionally. I would not be able to handle another surgery.

You may not be looking at another surgery. You might just need something to be cauterized which they can do in the office with a silver nitrate stick. Or the best scenario is that you are just a slow healer and you need just a bit more time. Please see your doctor and he or she will let you know what is going on if anything.

Petrified I am so sorry your recovery is going slower than expected. I am 3 months and feel that I should be further along as well. I know we have comment on each others post before.

Yes we have Thinkihadenough. I'm really quite shocked about this spotting since I have had none at all since surgery. Our screen names suit us! LOL!

I need to work up the courage to call the doc. He is in surgery on Tuesdays anyway. I was litterally dragged into emergency surgery by my husband to save my life. I would have never chosen surgery. I don't handle things like this well.

I really do understand. I waiting so long (10 years) for this hysterectomy. I did everything and every excuse to avoid the surgery!
