I'd be concerned about the clots, especially if you'd not had them before. It sounds like a cop-out answer, but call your doc for his take on it. Let us know what he says.

Hi, just put a call into your Dr to ease your mind...

Swelling can be a swelly belly, but if you started bleeding, Id guess its associated with that.. Did you over do it? Many have had a hematoma, which can be absorbed by body, but best to discuss w Dr. Are you having a mini period- have retained ovary & cervix?

Either way, Id suggest calling your Dr so you dont worry & get answers.

Re: 3 weeks since hysterectomy

I had a hematoma and it started to bleed on day 10 post op. It was dark red at first then has gradually gone from being similar to a period type blood to brown to almost nothing now. My Dr diagnosed it 4 weeks ago, it was just around my v.cuff and he said there was nothing I could do but let it drain (gross).
If your not bleeding or soaking a pad an hour (I wasn't, it was just there when I went to the washroom or wiped) I wouldn't be too concerned.
But having the Dr tell me what was going on was a relief. Just knowing that it was normal and I didn't cause it (thought I popped a stitch) made me feel 100% better. Call your Dr for peace of mind
