Well... Its the New "peachy" Me! ..."I'm Home Sisters"

Good Morning Sisters!! I am home!!

I whole experience was better then I imagined. I had a huge Uterus removed that my husband saw after it was all over.

Emotionally I'm good. I haven't taken a pain pill since yesterday at 3:00. I'm on Motrin every 6 hrs and still am using a stool softner.

I finiallly had a bowel movement last night. If you were me.... you be some happy to tell that from the roof top... what a relief.

I'm still a little "icky" from the anesthia. It has and probably always make me feel yuky!!!

I havent' smoked since Sunday night. I'll see how long I can go not smoking at all.

I'm rambling...a bit because of the anesthia.
Thank you all for being so0oo wonderful for me. Being 34 yrs old hand having your Uterus and Cervix out due to uncontrolable bleeding... seems so far like the right thing to do.

((( hugs)))

I am glad all went well. I had a hyst the same day as you. When were you released? I went home on Thursday. I could have went home on Wednesday since I was walking and tolerating foods but I could not pass gas.

I finally had a BM when I got home. I am going to try to eat more fiber since before surgery it would be days.

I heard popcorn everyday helps - I will have to look into that.

Good luck and hopes for a speedy recovery!

Take it easy. Don't make the same mistake I did. I thought I was doing fine and was up and about and doing things I shouldn't and my incision opened up. REST and RELAX.

Well... Its the New "peachy" Me! ..."I'm Home Sisters"

Hey Tami and Tracy!Welcome home! As you both know I also had my surgery on Monday and came home Wed. night as long as I ate my dinner. (Okay, so I pushed my food around and ate my applesauce but it got me home!) I only had to get my uterus taken out, left everything else. Passed gas Wed. am so that helped too. Did not like the morphine even though it helped me to sleep the first night but I moved to Percoset on Tuesday so I could get rid of the naseous but even that a made me sick. So Wed. at 6am I took my last percoset and then asked for something else due to naseous and they gave me the motrin which is working wonderfully and only take it as needed. I can hardly wait to get the staples out as it hurts to laugh at times. All in all not a bad time in the castle. I am fortunate enough not to need any stool softeners, went potty twice yesterday with no problems. Well, going back to bed for a bit. Make sure you both get plenty of rest and take care of yourselves. I'll be back on soon and talking to all later on tonight.
's to you both and all of my sisters on this site.

I'm so glad all of you new princesses are home. Dont over do it y'all... you all deserve some pampering. Peach, I told my DH that yours got to see your uterus and he said that since he's a doctor he thinks he should get to go into the OR and see mine there. I told him that since he was a PhD not a MD I was pretty sure that would be vetoed and that he should ask to see it after it wasn't you know connected to me. I'm going to have another sonogram next thursday (my last one was last november - that's how long I've been weighing the options) to try and finalize which type of surgery I'm having. If my doc decides to change from vaginal to adominal I will ask her if she ever does anything like taking off extra skin and fat herself... it's a long shot, but maybe she always wanted to be a plastic surgeon. If she decides to switch to abdominal, I'm going to have my wish list ready... who knows, it can't hurt to ask. Glad y'all are back. Take it easy. Remember that there is only one chance to to heal properly.
