TVH questions

I'm scheduled for a TVH and BSO with cystocele repair. I've seen many suggestions about getting larger underwear for post-surgery. Would that only apply to people with TAH, or will I wish I had some also? Also, is getting out of bed mostly a problem for women with abdominal incisions, or should I also expect difficulty? Thanks so much for your help.

hawkeye - i used my normal undies, though i did buy a few all cotton ones too. you just want to make sure you can wear a pad with them. someone did suggest something once though - that sometimes docs have to switch to abdominal during surgery so u might want a pair of bigger just in case. hmmm - i never really approached it like that and only had my usuals...
as far as getting outa bed, it is not difficult. you just have to move a little slowly. GOOD LUCK!!!!!
