Surger Mon-wouldn't you know it

My surgery is scheduled for Monday. Today is Sunday and I started spotting which means I probably will start tonight. Which means Monday is the extra heavy duty day. I am hoping it will hold off until after 8:00 when my surgery is scheduled. If not, I will still have to run to the restroom every 20-30 min to handle the situation. I would have been okay if I had started last week, but did not want the heavy day the morning of surgery.

Oh well, it will be my last and won't have to worry about this any more.

PS-I'm scared. Now scared with PMS which makes me weepy.

Hi Leap,

I hope you will have my experience. I started spotting on the 15th, I though, oh boy, here we go, a week of spotting, and then into full blown heavy cycle just in time for surgery.

But my spotting went away. I'm still not bleeding and I should be (last two months, I was on my cycle at this time).

Even if you do cycle.. it's ok, just have a good cry if you want and tell it goodbye. And don't worry about the doctors, they've seen just about everything.

My doctor said don't worry, if it's bleeding I can make it stop. really, word for word LOL.

(the thing is I'm 10 days late, which hasn't happened in years). Does it know something?

Well just think of it this way you will not have to worry and more about the heavy flow. You will need some pantyliners after surgery I just am not sure how long I am only 6 days post-op and I hardly notice anyting on them but just to be safe I wear them. Good luck tommorrow and we will be praying for a speedy recovery. Hugs.

I love your doctor's response! : ) That's awesome! I agree with the previous post - they have seen everything! A good friend of mine told me to just let the emotions come as they do and deal with them as they come. Does that make sense? In other words, if you want to cry - cry! I found myself choking back tears A LOT. Then when my friend told me it's natural - let your emotions come and deal with them when they do - let them out ... it all started to make sense. I did some crying - sobbing - to the point where I felt like my lungs were being crushed and I couldn't get any air. I still don't know exactly why I was crying. Maybe I never will. But I allowed myself those moments, and it made ALL the difference! Hope that helps *some*. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and looking for your post-op update! : )

-Salam (peace)
